chefkicker
Have you noticed that certain forms of martial arts attract certain types of people? Some attract head cases, some attract geeks, some attract deep spiritual people, some attract left wing sorts, some attract film star wannabees while others attract posers. Does anyone have any stories to share?
Crayfish
Went to a thai boxing show last night where a guy with a perfect tan did a perfect ran mui thing, posed his perfect body and so on. Proceeded to get hammered, then halfway through the fight he was knocked over and instead of taking the ref's hand to get up waved everyone away, prepared himself hands behind his head, and did a truly appalling kip (flip to feet from floor) where he fell over again. Not much point to this story, the word poser just triggered it. Was generally a very good show though, really enjoyed the women's international 57kg title fight - incredible spirit and technique from both contenders. Finished with Michelle from Manchester being knocked out by the Spanish contender Mari, but bloody good form from both of them. Unfortunately random bus timetabling then left me in Middleton bus station till 1.45, but nemmind. How are plans going for the next AFK show? Hopefully this will be yet another sheffield forum/AFK social get together! This was Master A's show you are talking about? Or was it Master Sken's? Crayfish
Master A's - my housemate trains there. Keep me updated with the 17th show, I'll see if I can make it!
