Dark Moomin
Hi, Unfortunately I have to wrok on New Year's Day this year, and this somewhat restricts my usual partying plans. What I had thought of doing was finding some kind of Meal and dance/entertainment event, maybe even a themed event or something. However, at most there will noly be 4 of us I would imagine, so can't book some of the more 'work' oriented events. Does anyone know of anything going on? I have found the Fusion Ball at the walnut club but unfortunately it is a 'little' out of our price range. And one at the Corus hotel on Abbeydale Road which is closer to the mark. I'd welcome any suggestions for an innovative night out which won't result in me rolling home at 4am hammered!!
Hanski
The Common Room and Forum Cafe Bar will be joining up to present FUNKASINO II - the event will feature eight piece funk band Love Party, Festive Canapes, Sizzling BBQ, Live DJs, Casino and Pool Comp - all for the price of £15. Dark Moomin
That sounds cool! What sort of music can I expect from 'funk'? I am terrible at matching songs to their genres!!
Hanski
Well - Love Party have a range of their own songs but they will also be playing a range of covers - expect James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Scott Heron, Gladys Knight and many more. Love Party is an eight piece band - so it promises to be a cracking night!!
