Heyesey
The disgrace is that it was built in London. London's the only major city we have. Remember the millions that got wasted on trying to win the Olympics for Manchester, or Birmingham? Not a chance - it's London, or nowhere.

JFKvsNixon
Wembley.... yet another English embarasement ... :rant:its a discrace. Wembley is actually an Australian disgrace, the company building it is Australian. Plenty of British companys did bid for it but Multiplex, the company building it offered it for a fixed fee, with Multiplex being fined and charged less it the project came in late. Arsenal's Emirates Stadium was started after Wembley and was completed on schedule - perhaps because Arsenal's board are rather better at project management than the FA. JFKvsNixon
You are half right I think, Emirates Stadium was much better project managed by Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd than Wembley was by Multiplex.

Robbie Loving
...yes, but I'm hardly surprised. I won't be surprised if the project is abandoned incomplete, even at this stage. Why on earth would they even contemplate this, don't talk such drivvle

Thinking more from the client end - Arsenal board much more likely to ensure contractors delivered per spec than the FA.
