hoba
What puts me off is the fact that it's directed by an American. I don't know why, but I don't think I could trust an American- even Oliver Stone- to do a film like this without turning it into some kind of saccharine, God-Bless-America type of effort. United 93, on the other hand, was directed by an Englishman and had that kind of 'other side of the pond' feel to it. I liked United 93. Did any of that make sense? Peter Bradshaw's review in the Guardian of WTC had ABSOLUTELY nothing good to say about the film, except perhaps that it eventually ends. And plus, it's got Nicholas Cage in it. I mean, come on... *Twinkle*
Not wanting to spoil it for anyone, but can I just say I find the Jesus/God intervention just a bit too surreal for me. It jars the film, in my opinion, but I can see why they put it in.
