Tracie   10 #1 Posted October 1, 2006 Hi all  The water lilies we inherited with our garden pond have started to die back - do I need to do anything with them now that they have stopped flowering (In particular, do I need to get my wellies and climb in there and remove all the dead leaves and flowers?! )  Also, does anyone have any tips on how best to help see them over the cold winter months? medusa   16 #2 Posted October 1, 2006 It's a good idea to remove all of the dead leaves and flowers, but I've never done anything more than that and they've all started up like clockwork in the spring.  I have to admit my water feature is smaller than the average so I don't need to don wellies, but I'm sure you could do most of it with a long handled fork.
