mikomi
I am soon to be a police witness against someone (cannot say name ). One of the charges against this person is Abandon Children .I'm not quite sure what this charge could relate to and it's got me puzzled .Is there anyone with some legal no-how around to enlighten me . JoeP
Somewhere along teh way you will be asked to make a statement that you sign, and eventually you may be called to give evidence in court. If the perosn admits the charges - pleads guilty - then you almost certainly won't be asked to attend court. In some ways, knowing soemthing about the legal charges might not be the best way forward - it could 'colour' your evidence and your statement. My advice would be to just answer the questions put to you truthfully and say 'I don't know' if you don't know.
