NPB!
Some might be older than that, the picture of my area is way different to what it is now. I suppose it takes them a long time to compile the pictures
JoeP
It's at least that - I can see the hole in my garage roof which was repaired that long ago. Some images are quite new, though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Earth
Andy78
I think, I worked out that majority of Sheffield pictures were taken in Late August 2002. This was based on the building I moved into in September not being quite complete, and my house-mate's scooter was still in our back garden (it got stolen in the middle of august). tess667
I've wondered this too! We moved here a year ago and I looked up our house on google earth just being nosy and it didn't look anything like it does now!!!
Guest Mod_Man
What is the best thing you've seen on Google Earth and if you know them what are the co-ordinates?

That'd be about right judging by our garden which is how it was before we had it completely altered in early 2003 - and it's my wifes car parked outside the house - we got it early 2002. My car is presumably where we were in August 2002 - on holiday in France.

bigflesh
I actually took the liberty to call them up (as this was covered before on SF).... most of the Sheffield 'high res' data was shot in 2002 (Summer).
