King Rat
On this Forum their seems to be too many Threads which are just Free Advertising. I think these threads should be placed elsewere? Do you think these people ought to pay to advertise?

Guest Mod_Man
I agree. You can get banned from the forum for the smallest thing yet its fine for people to advertise thier services. I also find it cheeky when they put ads in signatures.
medusa
There are places on the forum for buying, selling, accommodation, events and jobs- these are useful to lots of users (at least judging by the number of people who use them!). There is also due to be a 'link area' for users to place their links to commercial sites at some point in the future development of the forum I believe. If you really don't want to see them then just personalise your 'View New Posts' so you don't have them in your view, and you should be free of seeing them. If, however, you happen to find spam or promotion of services in the wrong part of the forum, please use the 'Report Post' at the right hand side of the post to draw the moderating team's attention to it. It's a fact of life that people will always try to promote services and websites for free rather than pay for a site advert if they can get away with it, but we do try to keep it all in check. Please help us by reporting things that shouldn't be on the forum.
Classic Rock
And people will use their signatures to advertise things too.....terrible isn't it!
JoeP
I agree. You can get banned from the forum for the smallest thing yet its fine for people to advertise thier services. I also find it cheeky when they put ads in signatures. Check the Forum FAQs and Rules for how to get banned and how to advertise properly on here. Most people seem to get by without getting banned, and the vast majority of people also advertise appropriately. There are soem folks who choose not to follow the guidelines on advertising, either by advertisng in the wrong place, spamming, etc. Those ads get removed and if the behaviour persists teh suer may find themselves on a Forum Holiday. And as for getting banned or having posts removed for other reasons - well, follow the rules and FAQs and it won't happen.
