Kitten born with 2 faces...

Iv just read the weirdest thing,a kitten was born in america with 2 faces.

It is so cute,it had to happen in america of course.

I always find these weird things happen there.

Aw, the pooor little thing!

 

I find the opening sentence of the news article interesting.

 

they say "they don't know why".

 

So.... all these vets, and scientists, with all their collective medical knowledge still don't know that this is obviously an unsuccessfully seperated twins. (you'd think they'd have heard of siamese twins, wouldn't you?)

I've been trying to find the original thread done on this little mite when he was born. I thought they were in the Pets group but I can't find it- oh well.

 

The story isn't that happy actually- he disappeared (presumed stolen) when he was a couple of days old, and to my knowledge has never been seen since.

 

There were actually 2 kittens born a few weeks apart in different parts of the states, one of which died at 3 days old. This one was feeding well and looking very healthy when he disappeared, but there's no happy ending I'm afraid- the news stories just stopped after he disappeared.

Things like that happen here too. Farmers inter-breeding and calves with two heads — knackers yard immediately!
