In response to Turra's observation that the knitting group folk will soon be identifiable on the streets of Sheffield by the rash of Clapotis wearing, LisaH wondered whether most of us actually live outside Sheffield.

So, where do we all live? Do you have a Sheffield connection at all?

Poll to follow in a minute :) .

I was born in Sheffield, but left for uni in '92. I'm in Leicestershire at the moment, but I'd like to move back to Sheffield at some point. I still think of it as home.

I really should have added the option to identify who posted in the poll; the results will probably be skewed by a few non-knitting group folk posting. I can't edit it now, but I'll alter the thread title...

I'm from Nottinghamshire, came to Sheffield 2 years ago for university. I'm not very attached to the place though and still see Notts as my home even though i have a lovely flat here in Sheffield. I can't see me staying around in Sheffield long when i've finished my degree.

Only thing is...i didn't knit a clapotis and i am in sheffield :hihi:

I'm from the Black Country by birth, but I came up here to Uni in 1988 and never went home again.

According to some people I qualify for my whippet and flat hat in 2 years as a naturalised Yorkshirewoman.

Excellent - that must mean I have 3 years left to serve:D Saying that though Ive spent longer living in Sheffield than anywhere else and nearly half of my lifetime:o
