tsavo
I recently had my password changed by my ISP. It took many attempts to get the computer to recognise this, but eventually a windows message appeared saying that "this is not the password remembered by windows, do you wish to change it"? I answered yes and the password was recognised. Today, however, it refuses to recognise it again. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help. chimaera
Try going start-control panel-user accounts select your user account and under 'related tasks' on the left hand side of the window select 'manage my network passwords' XP has a habit of remembering passwords there that supercede all other settings - it can be a right pain. If you're not sure which one to get rid of delete them all. Not 100% this will work - been a long time since I had to interface with an ISP through Windows
