pinknsparkly Posted September 28, 2006 Share Posted September 28, 2006 my son has come home from school today with his 1week old coat covered in tippex. anyone know how to get it out please? the coat is black, 100% nylon with a polyurethane coating and the washing instructions say wash at 30degrees. i have scraped the surface tippex off but darent wash it yet in case i "set" the tippex into the material. any help greatly appreciated thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

munky Posted September 28, 2006 Share Posted September 28, 2006 Deep freeze the garment for a few days. Once you've done this, you should be able to take it out and knock out the remainin tippex as it should crumble and turn to white dust. bigflesh Posted September 28, 2006 Share Posted September 28, 2006 I agree, stick it in the freezer for 3 days minimum (on fast freeze), THEN CHIP IT OFF... Finish up with a good soak in vanish and then a hot wash in the washing machine.... if it's still there, re-vanish it and hot wash again.
