slimsid2000
I would appreachiate any genuine advice on this please. If a woman asks a man to go to lunch with her, but are not dating (she has a boyfriend) what is the expected arranement for paying. Is the man expected to offer to pay or do each pay for their own. What about any drinks that may be bought at the time. Thanks.

Sultana
If you've been invited, chances are you should not be expected to pay, but you can offer, to be polite.
medusa
I'd enjoy the lunch and the company- since she's done the invitating I would assume that she's not expecting you to pay, but it would probably be good form all round you to either buy the drinks or suggest going dutch. the-lioness
SlimSid whos is this woman - would I know her per chance?? The best advice I could give you is to just go and not even think about it - go with the flow and just play by ear - it ALWAYS works in social situations What is this lunchtime meeting anyway, summat to do with uni?? SupraSteve
1) Don't hyper-analyse the situation* 2) Go 3) Offer to pay your half * = See what the score is when you're there; she probably wants the lunchtime company (or thinks you need it) or is going to ask a favour like will you feed her cat when she goes away or something. DR No you don't know her. She is a girl I have asked out but who has a boyfriend. She suggested meeting up for lunch one day just as a social occasion.
