gabby
This evening I had a phone call, and a recorded message informed me that someone was trying to get through to me and reverse the charges. I put the phone down and did 1471 to see who it was and the number 08456 853000 came up. Any road up, i googled the number and found this forum on the subject http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=203761 and it looks like a bit of a scam to me. Am i wrong? Has anyone else had this? Or what?

joffandanmum
i have had this. when my kids have no money , if you say you accept the call it costs about 3 pound fifty. the caller is given the instruction to say who they are, this is played to you so you know who it is then if you recognise the caller you accept..........or in my case hang up then ring them back on threir mobile,,as my kids usually do it cos they have no credit
upinwath
BT run rip off. The Call Connection Charge is £2.962 excluding VAT (£3.48 including VAT) + 50p after that. Missed calls to mobiles are cheaper but watch out for calls from 070 numbers. Another rip off job.

Cyclone
070 is just a forwarding number. It will cost more than a normal mobile to call back, but not an exceptional amount. I have an 070 number that I use on my cv, that way if my mobile ever changes, i don't have to miss any calls.
