Youll see a little notch on the blade near to the handle that you can cut your thumb on so that the knife can be replaced with a bloody blade. On the western front during WW1, the gurkhas went over the top and reached the German lines. A gurkha swung his knife at a German soldier's head. The guy said 'you missed!'. The gurkha said, 'try shaking your head'. The German did, and it fell off.
