Bicycle help, my chain has snapped!

Recommended Posts

Chains are easily fixed by anybody with a chain tool (ie basically any moderately keen cyclist) though some chains need a special joining pin, I don't suppose you have any idea what kind of chain you have?

Do bear in mind that unless you've got a new or relatively unused bike the chain rings and cassette will most likely have worn down with your chain and quite possibly won’t be a good fit for a new unworn chain.

That is very weird as my chain broke on the way to work this morning! I got the wife to drop in my chain-break and a couple of links in so I could fix it (all done).

It can be a bit of a fiddlely job... especially in the dark! But if you can reply within the next 10 minutes (when I'm off home) and you are not too far out of the way, then I'll have a go at it for you.
