Better late than never ...yes I went  to the Infants and then the Juniors - left in 1966. head in Infants was Miss Whitwam I think and then Mrs Biddulph.  Remember learning multiplication with beads on the carpet of her office. Then to Juniors - Mr Cross was Head for first year I was there then Mr Hill. Mrs Webster was fearsome in first year of Juniors but actually turned out to be nice after  I fell in the yard on the ice and badly hurt my elbow. She and her husband sometimes gave me a lift to school when their car passed the bus stop in a morning. Last 2 years teacher was Dave Swift. Great guy.  Remember doing 11 plus and only 4th years in school for the two mornings. We had brown paper stuck over everything on classroom walls and invigilators from a different school. After 11 plus we went on a trip to Manchester Airport - much smaller in those days. Seem to remember doing a PE display on the pitch at Hillsborough when a World Cup match was on there. asmall number of us went to Castleton to do a schools geography lesson for BBC schools radio. Fish and chips in Bakewell afterwards paid for by BBC. We had swimming at Woodthorpe Baths and football somewhere down Intake Road way past the fire station. Boys toilets for the Juniors were across the yard and open - great in winter and the snow.  Other teachers - Miss Staton and Mrs Laycock in Infants. Miss Pilgrim in Juniors. First year of Juniors there was Mr Walsh and Mr Ludbrook but they then left.
