goldenfleece
Have 3 PC's on a small network, all with shared access to certain folders, with permission to read/write/delete on TWO of those 3 machines. I accidentally deleted a Word document on another machine via the network, and it is not showing up in the recycle bin the file was actually on OR the networked machine recycle bin where the delete action was performed FROM. WHat happens to files deleted on a machine FROM another networked machine....are they gone for good or floating somewhere? Both recycle bins are set to default on both machines, and deleted files usually show in each respective machines recycle bin when deleted from each machine directly..... alkatraz
Deleted from network means deleted. If you really need the file, stop ALL applications that write anything substantial to the disk immediately to prevent overwrite of the sectors the file was on an immediately start a deleted file recovery program to find and recover the file that was deleted. Then be more careful in future.
sallonoroff
You could try RESTORATION or PC Inspector. (Links on my site, if you're interested)
