maidofhonour
Thanks for the welcome! Can I ask my first question then too? My daughter keeps asking me for advice but over the years (3 children and a max 20 yrs later) things have changed so much! My grand-daughter is 3 months old and is already draining a 7 oz bottle and crying for more but if we give her more she tends more often than not to bring it back up. She is already on Cow&Gate Plus (the blue box). When my children were younger babies were weaned at 3 months but now its recommended that you don't wean till 4 months. What do people think please? Jabberwocky
My son was weaned at three months and he was fine. My other half just suggested putting the milk to 9 oz and if she brings it back then at least she`ll get 8 oz into her. Shes much younger than i am and has modern ideas though but my son was weaning by three months.
babychickens
my 3 month sprog takes about 7oz at a feed, then screams when it's gone...that is, until we can coax a massive burp out of her, then she's really happy.
maidofhonour
We tried the give her 8oz and then if she brings back the other oz then what the heck but more often than not 3 hours later, maybe sooner, she's screaming for more milk as if the 70z she did have wasnt enough. We tried topping her up in between but then she just seemed that she permantely had a bottle in her mouth. She also suffers, bless, with awful windy tums so feeding her all the time just doesn't help. Before we feed her we are checking for all the other signs for being upset, ie leaking child, windy tums, just wants to play but nothing until we put a bottle to her mouth. Oh the joys of motherhood and being a granny!

Jabberwocky
Grandparents can indeed join if they are accompanied by one or both of their grandparents.
