Andy83
Soon i'm going to be starting up my company and plan on delivering my products direct to my customers homes. My only problem is that i don't have any clue at all as to how long deliveries take. What i'd like to know is some kind of average amount of addresses that can be delivered to in an average day. All my customers are going to be in Sheffield or in surrounding villages not far. Thanks Andrew
Harry O
In a relatively small area you can be looking at around 50 to 60 drops per day.
fr8neck
Bear in mind: what will the driver be doing at the drop? Will he/she need to,say: place the delivery upstairs, wire it in, demo its use? What will the interaction with the customer be? What will be the procedure if the customer is out/appears to be out?( how long before you quit & move on to the next) 50/60 drops a day is ok for business dels. the general public in their own homes are rarely as efficient as one might wish. ....Just some thoughts. Andy83
Thanks guys. Basically the delivery guy will be delivering boxes. So simple hand over, sign and leave. No customer, they can leave instructions as to where they want it leaving at their own risk. Dunno about how long to wait after knocking. I'm hoping theres no little old lady who hasn't spoken to anyone in days, that could slow us down. So around 50-60 drops.
