zerocool
My little (well not any more but you know what I mean) Ola, ginger and white tom cat has finally been allowed outside. Hes been desperate to venture out for months and as he is part feral he seems to know what to do! First time in over a year that I've had the french doors open just in case the cat escapes!! Should have done it sooner! Em x
medusa
Oh- I remember the nerve-wracking that I went through before letting all of mine out for the first time. Good on you for letting it happen, and I hope you don't have any heart-stopping moments when Ola waits round the corner until you've panicked that he's not coming home. You'll be pleased to know that once feral cats are settled and happy in their homes they're fiercely loyal to their colony, and to the people or cats that are their colony head honchos. One of mine was born feral, and I hand reared her, so to her I'm colony boss, so when I call she's there on the double. I hope it works out the same for you with Ola (and just imagine the wonderful photo opportunity for you with him chasing leaves in the garden through autumn).
