fox20thc
Not wanting to get into too much detail (for obvious reasons) I have just witnessed a grown woman bellowing like an ox at a very small pre schooler. The child was not being out and out naughty just playing and not sitting still. Why do adults think its appropriate or even useful to scream themselves hoarse at children. Do they think the kids are deaf? or they don't understand unless its at 110 decibels? I have noticed that the ineffectiveness of this is followed by a slap if needs be So tell me why please. How can that make anyone feel better, the stress level must go through the roof! Think of their blood pressure.
Devine22
My mum used to scream at me, never did any good. My dad used to just look at me and I would stop it, something about his eyes that scared me, and still do!! He used to do it to other kids too!! seeyoujimmy
Sounds like my next door neighbour, when she goes off on one we need to turn the TV up, it's not just the kids, it's the dog too and we heard stuff getting bounced off the wall last night so i'm taking it that was the husband getting it. The thing that disgusts me is that she swears at the kids, every second word is a profanity, there is just no need.
yummyyumyum
it seems that parents who do this have obviously lost the respect of their child somewhere along the line and so think this will scare them into control.
Rich
It really gets on my tits that kind of thing (not that I have tits, I'm all man last time I checked ) I remember last year I was waiting for the 25 on Arundel Gate near the Crucible, and some loudmouth woman with a little 2 year old was yelling at the kid because he was whinging about being cold in just his nappy.. "Well ya shun't ave f***in wet yersen then" was the reply, I thought, well surely any normal Mother would know that a toddler would wet/soil themself, and know to carry a spare pair of trousers or whatever for the little kid, but no.. She has to shout and bawl at the kid at the top of her voice for all the ******* street to hear Worse thing was, she got on my bus as well with her big gob. nick2
IMO people spend far too much time worrying about what other people are doing instead of minding their own bussiness and getting on with their own lives.
