sallonoroff
Interesting.... how is it free though? Do you have to agree to having adware installed as part of the mozy package? .

Well it looks like I am going to have to test this program out, it doesn't look like anyone has used this on the forum, and I had never heard of it untill my friend phone me asking for any advice. I will let you know if it's realy free, gives me something too play with when I'm bored...lol

alkatraz
So.. what's the name of the service.. and what rule killed the link?
Edd
The link was to http://mozy.com The forum rule only applies to the affiliate part of the link, (which was removed). Theres nothing wrong with linking directly to the site. (from the mozy site under 'affiliates' : "Mozy’s affiliate compensation plan is second to none. Our affiliates earn a $1.00 commission for confirmed Mozy Free sign ups..." etc. )

I'm now testing this software, first glimpse is that it looks good.
Edd
From my posting did it really appear that I was trying to sign people up to earn a $1.00 commission. No it did not. Thats why the referral part was removed and the rest of the post (including the link!) left as is. I assumed you had just pasted the link your friend had given you. I assumed you had just pasted the link your friend had given you. No, all I had was the name, so I did a search, I think the link was to their sign up page and just copied and pasted that. Anyway I'll see how much spam I receive, got a couple already, but maybe it will be worth it for the free storage space they are offering. All was setup with a new email addy, so they have absolutely no personal details of mine. I may even decide to keep it yet.
