Sutty_79
Hiya, we had our baby boy two weeks ago and need to get a passport for him as we want to go away over Christmas. Can anyone recommend a photographer to take pictures of him which we can use for the passport? Thank you.

Can anyone recommend a photographer to take pictures of him which we can use for the passport? Thank you. I always thought it had to be a 'proper' passport photo - i.e in a booth ? http://www.passport.gov.uk/downloads/PLE_04Eng-Photo.pdf
raine
I cannot remember the name as it was 3 years ago now, but I used a photography place on Ecclesall Road, it was a little past the Spar shop on the right hand side as you head into town. The photographer was excellent with endless patience and experience with babies who insisted on remaining asleep! It wasn't a national chain it was an independant studio, and I would recommend this. I tried one of the chains in town and the photos were rejected by the passport office.
surfinjim
There is an independant studio in Chapeltown who will take as many pics as necessary to get one which meets the passport office requirements. They charge £10 but you could spend that easy on photo booth pics. Jim:thumbsup:
*vanessa*
We went to Max Spielman on the moor, they were great, they took several sets of my daughter , who was 2 weeks old at the time. They had a baby car seat to sit her in, but we had to provide a white blanket as the background, it didn't cost too much, and was very quick. cosywolf
Sutty, check if your Post Office does them. I got the passport check done for £6 (they look over and verify everything then send it all off - my NEW passports were with me WITHIN A WEEK!!!) and they said the cosycub's picture was no good, even though I'd had it done specially. They did it there and then and charged nothing for having to try a couple of times, lol (they only charge £3something for the photos anyway). cosywolf
klicks do them and as they use digital camera will take the photoes untill they fulfill passport criteria Just beware, it was Klicks in Woodseats where I got mine and cosycub's done, and they were completely useless - mine too close, cosycub's too shadowed. It might have been an off day, but take the photo guidelines along with you and don't be shy of comparing the photos to the guidelines - it's not cheap, after all, and you don't want to have to do it again.
