fox20thc
I've noticed that there is a hardcore of forummers who donate to a good cause at the drop of a hat, no questions no pack drill.. they just give. So what encourages you to donate to a charity? Is it money? or time? or do you just not bother?

Jabberwocky
I dont bother. Im not tight fisted or anything im just...I need incentive to give to charity, i buy all manner of shiny things like badges and the golden heart things they used to sell but i do that because im a magpie at heart, not because i have charity in me. I know im shallow and selfish, but.... I dont care! Heh heh
SHsheff
I've noticed.... How can you tell? How do you 'notice'? Personally I give time and/or money to causes that I feel drawn to, but don't necessarily publicise my involvement, and I'm sure most people don't either... I tend to only draw attention on SF to issues that I think other forumers will be interested in.
Sultana
I have several charities who I donate to as and when I can. I'm a sucker for buying raffle tickets & sponsoring people for a good cause too.

UKSentinel
Depends really. Sometimes it's the cause, other times it depends what mood I'm in. As part of my current role I am the themes and events co-ordinator and have just organised a month of charity events and fundraisers at my place of work. August was the month set for this, since everyone's views suggest they didn't want to be pestered for money throughout the year. To be honest, I don't like pushy people that are in your face and that sometimes puts me off donating. if there's a box there and I'm not pressured then I'll contribute.
