seeyoujimmy
We've been in our house six months now and the other half wants to convert the old loo and coal shed into his workshop. There are two separate buildings, each with its own door and it has a brick partion wall between them. We need to brick up one door and were going to use the bricks from the partion wall but they've been painted, we don't want to go and buy new bricks because they won't be the same colour, anybody any ideas how to get the paint off baring in mind it's been on a good few years? cgksheff
My first thought would be to use Nitromors and there are other chemical strippers as well: http://www.stripperspaintremovers.com/I_want_to_remove.htm#
peterw
Have the bricks been painted on both sides of the wall? If so, buy some old, second-hand bricks which are quite cheap. Otherwise your better half’s on a hiding to nothing. If painted only on one side, use the other side to brick up said door. Alternatively, brick up the door then pebble-dash the whole building. SL31
Easy peasy lemon squeezy - hire a high pressure cleaner. We accidentaly removed the paint from our garden wall when getting rid of the moss and muck on the garden slabs this summer!
