blip
when a toddler needs to go, a toddler needs to go:- no ifs, no buts, no waiting... Maybe, but a toddler is two, maybe three (ie when it's toddling?). This brat was older than that.

This brat was older than that. a toddler, to me is a child under about four, so, as the child was described as being about 3 or 4, then it was a toddler: - still not old enough to have complete contol over its bladder, when it comes to "urgency of micturition". Wiki says: "Toddler is a common term for a child between the ages of one and three years old, although some may consider a toddler to be between two and five." So I won't be pedantic. But, if you analyse the original post, it's fairly clear to me that the mother knew her kid, as you would expect, and knew the kid didn't really need to 'go'. Just my opinion of course, and presented to balance all the 'terrible mother' posts previously presented.
yummyyumyum
when a toddler needs to go when an adult needs to go they go:hihi: , unfortunately a child needs its parents to take them, and as soon as it is mentioned they should be taken to the toilet, it can harm a childs bladder if they are made to hold for long periods of time! I dare say that you 8 year old gets whatever she wants as soon as she asks. I think we can put money on her having a mobile phone and a TV of her own. Sometimes you just have to say "no" and this poor woman has done that and has now been pilloried on this forum on the flimsiest of evidence.
