fox20thc
As I have registered my office software to this pc. If I swap can I put the same software on and use the same key?
alkatraz
Yes. You have a Single-PC license, therefore you can legally move it to a different PC, so long as you remove the software from your old PC. This also allows you to sell your key to someone - so long as you remove it.
fox20thc
Okay, how do I do that and how do I let microsoft know that, Im sure it will say its already registered to another machine.
Ghozer
Just format (totally wipe) your first PC, and install windows on the second using your license... Unless of cause it was a HP, Compaq, Medion, Advent, PackardBell, or Toshiba, as the license / copy of windows is designed only for that machine.. Savannah2
If this is a retail copy then you can have it on any PC, as long as it's on one PC only. OEM version comes and dies with the PC, much the same as the OS.
