okka north
Do you feel safe in your home at night? Do you feel safe walking the streets at night? Do you feel safe when you go abroad? Do we face a life where, in the back of our minds, something might happen? When did things change? Why is it years ago we lived are lives care free and now we have worries about about our safety? Will it always be like this? Or do you feel perfectly safe?
Plain Talker
Never been abroad... however, yes I feel safe when trekking around where I live, I feel reasonably safe when in my home, although I don't throw caution to the wind, as I do keep my door locked, to prevent anyone "sneak-thieving". I don't believe in giving a thief an easy-chance.
JPMiddleton
I do feel safe at home yes. Do I feel safe walking the streets? Yes. Probably because I dont go near areas that would be considered as dodgy. Though the city centre has its moments, i generally dont have any issues, Manchester on the other hand is a different story. Newcastle is probably the best ive experienced. Out of the few places ive been abroad.. I probably felt a little uneasy at 5am wandering down the red light district in Amsterdam, being offered all sorts of chemicals..

Thunzi
Do you feel safe in your home at night? Yes Do you feel safe walking the streets at night? 99% of the time Do you feel safe when you go abroad? Totally depends on where I am, pretty broad question. In my travelling round the world I only felt unsafe twice really, once in New York and once in San Francisco. I felt fine in Washington DC and Philadelphia though. It's all relative to what happens whilst you are there Do we face a life where, in the back of our minds, something might happen? Some people do, but I don't think people should live their lives that way. Or do you feel perfectly safe? Usually yes.
Jabberwocky
I feel very safe where i live now. The biggest crime that happens here is when some bugger parks at the bus stop. Actually its safe bordering on boring.

Swan_Vesta
Q Do you feel safe in your home at night? A. Totally, I have a sturdy door with two locks which I prove along with the downstairs windows every night. For any toerag with the initiative to get past that lot I have a nice surprise waiting for them should they make it as far as our bedroom. Q Do you feel safe walking the streets at night? A. I'm always alert when I'm out and about, especially at night but am sufficiently 'handy' to wander about with confidence Q Do you feel safe when you go abroad? A. God I wish - Not had a holiday in nearly 8 years Q Do we face a life where, in the back of our minds, something might happen? A. I think that you have to be prepared, never leave your property in a state where it can be breached, yourself in a position where you have no means of escape or without refuge. I'm not worried about these things because I don't believe in generating the circustances where you can be compromised.
