Help me with computer background pictures

Try this edit for the registry. Start>Run and type

 

regedit

 

Navigate to the following key:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pol icies\ActiveDesktop

 

In the right-hand pane, delete "NoChangingWallPaper"

 

If you are not familiar with editing the registry then you could try this from Kelly's Corner

 

Number 128 right hand side.

Hi Marmite, this only seems to have heppened to me since a trojan popped up on my PC.....my spyware flashed up a message saying that this can make changes to your desktop...!!!!! dont know what else it could be.....any shelp would be appriciated. :( :( :( :(

what about a simple virus scan, then dont they clear all infected files and stuff? The problem we had was, like yours, we couldnt change the files for a background. Oddly enough, this 'virus' thing only affected one log on user..very strange
