Tartempion
I was there and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was tremendous ...not to mention the weather! I heard on the news that there were about 20 thousand of us. So let's hope Tony Blair got the message.

English Glory
Exactly what was gained by it? Every single person in the country knows Blair has already gone, he's impotent - it's a mass protest that, amazingly, has an outdated message that doesn't even deliver to a PM who has already lost control of a party that isn't delivering on anything they promised on more important, and relevant, issues at home. There are so many lefty do-gooders, sat in their armchairs as sodding international political experts, that simply don't have enough grey cells between their ears to understand why we're over there, and how vital it is that we continue to support the programmes that are in place now. How can you protest against a war where is NO war on - we're in those countries in a peace enforcement role, preventing death and mayhem. What do the luvvies want us to do - pull out and let them slaughter each other? That’s what those primitives will do if we leave them to it too early. Personally I think that would be great - because I'm right behind any measure to reduce third world population, but my views are a tad more radical than most.
