This morning, our little chihuahua had to be put to sleep at only 5months old.

The vets are keeping her body until Monday, and then we can decide what to do with her.

Im quite sure theres an actual pet cemetery in Sheffield somewhere? am i correct? Ive searched google and also looked in the yellow pages, but all i can find is crematorium services.

I want to actually bury her with a little gravestone so i can visit there

Can anyone help me on this?

I'm so sorry to hear about this, and I think there's a crematorium/cemetary for pets too, but I've never needed their number (*makes wishes in her head and touches wood*).

I'm going to move this to the Pets group where you're likely to find someone who knows the answer.

Sorry I don't know of one, nor can I find one... You could always phone a vet in Sheffield and ask?

Phone Hallam Vets and ask there, that's where I go: 0114 2343013

Also - remember you don't have to have a grave to have a memorial plaque placed somewhere where you can always visit.

Otherwise, can I suggest I have decided to be cremated when I die, and I want Takara to be cremated when she goes so that our ashes can be mixed together and scattered over our favourite walking areas. I saw this somewhere and thought it was a lovely idea, you may want to consider it if you can't find a cemetry.
