Sheffielder   11 #15 Posted September 23, 2006 It's AWFUL  It used to be a friendly pub with local residents welcome to enjoy the place.  Then it went through a period of bad reputation  And now it doesnt' cater for local residents and has gone 'biker'  Ridiculous
 Share this content via...

Me and my husband used to go there some years ago to a quiz night which was really good fun. There was never any 'atmosphere'. Now it's just full of 'atmosphere'. Big Milch   10 #20 Posted September 23, 2006 How does that cater for the local residents ? Never said it did, however last time i looked it was a free country therefore the landlord should have the choice about the kind pub he runs.Just because it isnt to some of the locals tastes doesnt mean there arent lots of people who like the place. Teaman   10 #21 Posted September 24, 2006 its a crap pub,,,,,,,,, if your a chav or you suffer from bikerphobia   the Land lord is a top bloke I started the meets there for sheffieldbikers and theres never been issues. If you find a good pub you stay, if you dont like it, find another one, theres plenty of chavy pubs in sheffield if thats what your after but I believe that the H&J is still a good family pub. if you dont like bikers, don't go on a wednesday eve, having said that, no one actually cares what you look like, if your a ****, they will let you know.
