gelfling
has anyone been to this pub and what are your thoughts as I called in a few week ago and the landlord was so drunk he could not stand up and was actually fighting with a customer, not my idea of a good example of a landlord and I won,t be going again:confused:
Ghostrider
I heard about this. It was (I beleive) a friend of the landlords birthday and he had been out for the evening with them. It appears that a couple of people in the pub started kicking off and it was dealt with by a few of the regulars. The people that were kicking off later returned and had another go, at which point they started on the landlord who had come back from the night out- and I can tell you that he doesnt suffer fools gladly. However, I can also say that he one of the nicest blokes I have ever met and he will help anyone out - I remember ages ago a forum member was having trouble with her bike and didnt have the right tools, she called in at the jockey and the landlord actually fixed it for her there and then. Please do not let one incident put you off this pub, its one of the most biker friendly pubs in the area. I have been going into that pub at least 2-3 times a week for over a year and have never felt worried - ok, you get the odd scrote who cant take their beer and try to start something but that kind of thing is few and far between. Ghostrider
Is that the one wtih cctv on the inside? Most pubs now have cctv on the inside these days. Nothing unusual in that at all.

never wrong
having cctv inside is going to be insisted on in the future as a condition of licence if the police get there way

kittenta
I keep telling my mother to pitch a tent up outside there, she often spends more time there than at home Not that my little bro minds, he gets to charge around outside. It seems a nice pub but then I don't go out drinking
