Asmo
Hi there, Hoping you can help me. I've been living in S36 for 6 years, moved here from Kent so only really know this locality. I may be needing to find somewhere to live with my son and don't want to leave this immediate area as he is well settled at school and would not cope with a major change at the moment. I am checking estate agents (but not sure if I will be able to get a mortgage right now) and would like to look at rental properties too. How do I go about finding what's around? I don't get into the town centre, so need websites/contact numbers rather than having to visit agents. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance, Asmo -x-
Strix
you could start with the sheffield telegraph property paper, or browse the ads on here. Is Woodhouse too far away for you? There's a house with a private board outside at the Beighton side of the centre of the village.
Asmo
Thanks for that. I hadn't even got a clue about which papers to check, how stupid is that? It's all come as a shock, so not something I'd planned for. Ideally I need to stay in Stocksbridge/Deepcar, or as near there as possible so that my son can continue in his current school, but thanks for mentioning that house. surfinjim
Asmo Not certain how many estate agents there are in Stocky, but you might be better trying in Chapeltown (at least 5) or Hillsborough. There are quite a few "To Let" signs appearing round Chap/Burncross/Grenoside which are all only 10 minutes drive to Deepcar.
