Honeybun
Did anyone see this accident? It involved a silver Ford Mondeo and a Kawasaki ZZR 600. We have statements from witnesses, but all are different. My brother was on the bike and ended up with 2 broken legs. The car driver has said he saw the bike, panicked, and stopped in the middle of the road. The police are saying that no-one was at fault! How can that be? Surely, if someone stops dead in peak hour traffic, it is their fault?
Strix
it's not covered by CCTV then? I hope your brother is going to be ok did your brother rear-end him then, or did this beamer stop across a junction your brother was coming at him from the side on? Honeybun
Never thought about CCTV but a good point. Apparently it was witmesses by 2 off duty cops, but no statements from them yet. Something aint right, don't know what but aim to find out.
Honeybun
By the way, when it happened, my sister in law was due to give birth! The cops came to the door and told her. She is now in labour as we speak, at least daddy can be at the birth. He's lucky to be here at all!!

upinwath
Surely, if someone stops dead in peak hour traffic, it is their fault? Acidents between to vehicles must involve fault. It MAY be shared but there is always fault. As a rule it's a car driver pulling out into traffic without checking for bikes. Happened to me a few times but I was always able to avoid the blind pratts. Hope the guys ok.
Honeybun
No CCTV on that stretch of road unfortunately, and the driver is a bloke from Mexborough and not a copper. My bro was saying the guy pulled out on him, his exact words were, ' I saw him at the junction, next thing he pulled out in front of me and I had nowhere to go'. The statementsare all different, one said he was at the side of the car, another behind the car and I'm not sure about the other one. Really hoping some more witnesses come forward, as there must have been plenty of people who saw it. Good news though, have a new nephew born this morning in Jessops, weighed in at 8lb 13 and a half. Bro is doing fine, despite his injuries!!
Strix
that makes interesting reading.... surely the damage to the car from the bike would answer that question?
