Harleykim
I've worked as a cook for ages, and am fed up. I've thought about all the things I could do, and the only thing that excites me is outside farm work. I really need some excitment, and satisfaction. No other jobs or careers I have thought about just don't do it for me. I LOVE the idea of been on a farm, but I'm not sure how to go about it

Swan_Vesta
You could try to contact one of the agricultural colleges and see what you need to get started, however, it's ruddy hard work, unsocial hours and a dying industry so make sure if you take the plunge to bear that in mind. I lived on a farm for 20 years and worked on one for 4 and can honestly say that there's nothing like it in the world ...... Then we got quite a few cases of BSE, the place had to be sold off and it went to hell in a hand cart after that. Best of luck to you
Don_Kiddick
I did Horticulture at City & Guilds level at Rother Valley College in Dinnington, while in the 6th form (some time ago). They have a college farm & ran an agricultural course too. Maybe give them a ring?

Harleykim
buy a farm. sorted:thumbsup: If I could afford to buy a farm, I'd be living on it right now I would be way to busy shearing my sheep, putting horse poo on my vegetables, and bottle feeding my piglets to be on here. Aaaw I want it! It sounds so perfect
