27°c (80°f) degrees in September, can the environmentalists tell us why this is bad?

Recommended Posts

I have had a day off, and I have been enjoying the effects of global warming. FANTASTIC.

If it carries on like this people all over the world will be enjoying weather like this, and even Eskimos will enjoy Glorious Mediterainian Type weather maybe in 200 years time.

Global Warming ??? my advice, Tax Cuts for cars which churn out more Pollution.

So whats the problem environmentalists?

Once it starts getting hotter it wont stop. Ice will melt meaning more water meaning more floods. More heat in the oceans gives much more energy to storms.

As for us in Blighty have you ever wondered why were warmer than Russia and Canada yet we are level with them? "Perhaps not"

Well there is a little thing called the gulf stream which carries warm water from the south Americas to us which keeps us moderatley warm all year round. If all that ice above us melts it will send cool water down to us which in turn will counteract what the Gulf stream does. So we "as in Blighty" will not have summer all year round, we will have very similar weather to Canada and Russia.

The earth has a fine balance and the moment we tip it " as we are doing" there is no way back.

Yes. Do you have all year for me to show you the research that proves it? Didn't think so ;)
do you have a year for all the evidence i can get that will contradict it?! ;)

the truth is there is no solid proof for global warming being manmade. the global weather system is not understood nearly enough to be able to say. add to that we not only can't accurately predict weather much less control it the chances are theres nothing we can do about it. the planet is actually overdue an ice age so if anything it should get hotter at first so it can then get colder

Add to that- the rising sea levels will result in the obliteration of many cities around the world, London included. Although I guess we're OK here in Sheffield, so if it doesn't effect us, who cares, right?

/sarcasm

My thoughts precisely, if Global Warming carrys on, they the water will swamp the coastal towns.

This means we won't have as far to drive to get to the seaside

And that can't be bad can it ?
