New bt broadband package

Just been offered bt broadband with unlimited access along with unlimited local and national calls for £49+VAT/month.

It's a BT sales offer and will save me about £20-30 a month in call and internet charges.

So do you know a catch, is BT broadband rubbish or is it a great deal I should grab with both hands ?

BT suck!

Ive moved over to TalkTalk, for some reason they seem to have a bad rep, but i have no complaints what so ever. My phone bill has gone from £40 a month to £22.49

The only thing that may put you off is it has a 40gb per month limit.

BT Broadband is fantastic. I've been with them now for 4 years and never had any problems except when I moved house and they had to change the Broadband over.. Took nearly 8 weeks to do because of a mistake from one of their operators but other than that, the connection is great and is being upgraded to 8MB free in the next month (from 4)

I am on BT Broadband as well, and unlike Owlsman I dont have any problems either,.

Yes they do have a Indian call centre which is not very good, but so does Talk talk and I find them even more impossible to understand.

I have Talk Talk telephone, and BT Broadband, but phone is going back to BT.

Thanks all.

I'm paying about £40/month to BT at the moment for calls and £20+ for internet so it would see a reduction in costs and a better service.

That's excluding that I would start using BT more than my mobile as the calls would be free to other land lines.

Think I'll go with it.

Yup, me too, except the Dronfield exchange can only cope with 6.5Mbps at the moment...promises of full 8 soon though.

I went for BT's "Option 3", which allowed up to 30Gb monthly, but that's also risen to 40Gb recently for no extra cost...

I was with BT Broadband for 2 years, and i had nothing but problems. Main one was my connection dropping everytime a little bit of rain fell. Paying £25.99 a month for a 512 also didnt help matters. Big :nono: from me.

Guess you guys are lucky.

PS. I wasnt bothered about the call centre.
