Probably a quiet day for the cops and they are lookin for out of date tax discs to try and look the crime figures look good and if you have to persecute motorists even more, whats the problem for the cops they do it all the time as second nature

daftlad
With comments like this you really do have an appropriate username, don't you?! No I am just telling the truth. Why not put pressure on the people who have outstanding court fines or somethin like that. They wouldn't do that though it means having to get out of their cars and taking them into court and wasting time.Motorists are persecuted enough

There are loads of them about I know but the only way to stop that is to prove you have insurance before buying a car. A lot of the others are the bloody asylum seekers who think they are now here and it gives them rights to do what they want. All my family and friends have insurance and tax. Must admit I am fed up though of my insurance going up every year thanks to the people that cannot be bothered to insure cars. Only thing is when they get caught you do not get a severe punishment at court and the CPS (criminals protection service) are about as much use as a fart in a lift. And if you think about it, the people they stop in illegal cars, usually also have outstanding warrants...now there's a surprise.. It's called killing two birds with one stone and doing this type of check clears up quite a lot of crimes. Did you know that the Yorkshire Ripper was caught by an officer who noticed the car he was driving had a dodgy number plate on? Start supporting the Police, not making small mind allegations about them wasting your taxes...that's assuming you pay any?
samc
Wow - RazorSharp .... well said. I do like that argument. I loathe anyone who thinks they can get into a car without the correct paper work needec and I bet the police wish they'd get a stronger punishment from the court system.
