Don_Kiddick
Studying American and txtspk are you? I'll have a go at translating old boy, here goes: dudes wantin to no which nite will b better this week, im from rotherham and comin up for a freshers nite, will it b better wednesday or thursday cheers andy Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ear. One needs to extract information from more learned forummers regarding a specific time in the dark hours over the next seven days. One is a foreigner to the Sheffield area, originating from the town of Rotherham, however I intend to visit your city in the week that new students are interned. Would the learned people therefore recommend Wednesday, or should I stifle my avid excitement a further 24 hours & visit on Thursday. Your Good Health Andy. Hope this helps? :hihi:
spyro2000
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: As for the question. It doesnt matter which day you go out on. Freshers week will be ram packed with events no matter what day you go out on.

topdog
Hi, check out your uni website - if it's Sheffield then I know they have a section listing all events for every day of freshers week..sure Hallam will have the same, too. Don_Kiddick - just have to say I've laughed out loud at your "translation", good job not many people around at work today, might think I'm going mad.. Andy - it's all good-natured, and many time-pressed forummers have to resort to, shall we say, abbreviated forms of language
SimonP
Its all about the funk party at the Ruby Lounge (just off division street) on Thursday! There's two live musicians, a saxophone-playing dj and some great drinks offers. Genuinely good music and a great time to be had. Plus its free entry too. Tempted?!
