nick2
Considering most people are not religious it seems a vast sum of money to get dressed up, have a drink and dance, and pretend you believe in god for a day.

Ousetunes
Considering most people are not religious it seems a vast sum of money to get dressed up, have a drink and dance, and pretend you believe in god for a day. My wife and I got married in a pub in 1996 (The Weetwood House at Ecclesall which has since gone. We were the first couple to marry there). It was not religious at all - in fact, it was one huge tiddle-up. Having said that, we renewed our Wedding Vows in York Minster this year - tenth anniversary and all that.
