tab1
I re-installed XP on an hp(model nx6110) laptop, and software doesn't detect any installed modem, It was working on line before needing the reinstall, so now the problem is that on hp website they don't offer any drivers for this 56k analogue modem. Has anyone any suggestions on repairing the problem please?
Craigy
I have a HP laptop and i know i can reinstall all the software drivers through the HP Info Center then clicking HP software setup. Do you not have the cd that came with the laptop so you can reinstall this program? I dont know its most likely the modem will be the same that is in mine. Which is a 'SoftV.90 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP' as the device manager calls it. sorry i'm usually pretty useless when trying to help people with IT related problems as im the one usually asking for the help lol *edit* I had a quick look at the HP site and think i've found the drivers you are looking for anyways Here hope this helps

alchresearch
Did you use the HP CD to reinstall Windows? There is usually a folder on C: called CPQAPPS or SWSETUP which has the drivers.
