'Thorn in My Side' by The Eurythmics. Reminds of a trip to Alton Towers in 1986. Not very exotic, but it's the one which sticks in my mind. It reminds of the journey back to Sheffield on the coach, and the elicit cider drinking.

'Our House' by Madness, when I went to Butlins in Minehead, first year at high school. High jinks to be had by all= room swapping, running off with lads from Kent and the most memorable part - the swimming pool, which had a great window in it through to the disco/bar, which all the lads used to go in just so they could do moonies at the girls as they danced round their handbags!

Breakfast at Tiffani's ~ It was constantly on when i went on a adventure weekend with school along with Your Gorgeous - Babybird.

Aw!!! I remember these from when I was really young!! What year were they?

I remember I had a crush on my older brother's best friend, and whenever that song 'Dont sit down, dont sit down, sit down next to me.....' song came on it always reminded me of him! It was out around the same time I think!

And of course - all the Spice Girls songs!

The concert was on TV last night, and I almost welled up cos I just want to be little again at the moment, want to have that freedom back!

Popcorn by Hot Butter (1972) reminds me of being in Benidorm (aged 3);

Whispering Grass - Windsor Davies/Don Estelle (1975) - on board the SS Canberra (aged 6);

An instrumental version of Procol Harum's A Whiter Shade of Pale (1976) whilst in a beach cafe in Cala Masqueda, Spain;

Loads of stuff off the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack reminds me of our holiday in Benidorm (1978) - Also Darts' Boy From New York City;

Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind & Fire with The Emotions (1979) - Malta;

Sailing by Christopher Cross and the Clash, Bankrobber (1980) - Miami, Florida;

Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder and the Jacksons' Can You Feel It (1981) on board the SS Canberra. Also, Sheena Easton with For Your Eyes Only;

Boys Town Gang - Can't Take My Eyes Off You; 18 Carat Love Affair by the Associates; The Only Way Out by Cliff Richard (1982) - Menton, South of France;

The Day Before You Came by Abba (1983) - Corfu. The song was played on a Best of Abba cassette that I took.

The Closest Thing To Heaven by Kane Gang, all FGTH stuff (1984) Tenerife;

The Joshua Tree by U2, Wonderful Life by Black and bizarrely, ABC's Lexicon Of Love (1987) - Rhodes. Just the opening of Where The Streets Have No Name takes me back to the dusty track leading from our hotel in Rhodes on a red hot evening in July 1987. (I was 18.)

I could go on and on. I can say exactly where I was, who I was with and what I was doing by nearly any song between the early 1970s and the early 1990s.
