Guest
This was on 'What Not to Knit', but it's worth showing in all its glory. You might want to ponder this, this, this and especially this. These are all for sale, by the way, in case you were interested...

Guest
is this for real, mohair fetishists (spelling)why, why, why ???? I have no idea. Mohair is pretty itchy stuff, so it would certainly appeal to the massochists .
AmelieB
Isobel (mohair knitter) is for real - she's a wondefully funny and intelligent lady. A lot of her clothes sell to Germany, and apparently it is purely a fetish thing, but she makes a healthy living from her knitting, so good luck to her! beansforyou
I can only begin to imagine how itchy that would be. I'm hypersensitive, and mohair and such drives me crazy, makes me itch just thinking about it *shudder* That and a pair of them Toe-Socks.... *runs away screaming*

I don't think the knitter's intelligence or humour are in question; indeed she appears to have found her niche. The 'garments' are still the most fugly knitted items I've ever had the misfortune of seeing though .
Meaks
Is sexual fetishism allowed in knitting circles?
