What do Londoners think of Sheffield?

Here is a question for all you Londoners and also for anyone else. What do/do you think Londoners make of Sheffield?

Thanks to such sterotypical film as Full Monty/Brassed Off(oh bloody hell, they've gone and shut t'steelworks/t'pit) do they see us as a bunch of left wing luddites who can't talk about Maggie Thatcher without using the word 'decimated'.

Or do they have a more comical view of us as a bunch of flat cap wearing pratts who like nothing better than putting a ferret down our trousers?

Or, (perhaps most likely) do they not even think of us much at all?

In the late 70s in lived in london, most people i met come from scotland, ireland, manchester areas and the locals thought we were all tight g**s but we all sorted em out, they seem to take along time to get to know you. I lived in Enfield for a while and as i was on my own i went to the same pub every night for on hour after work, it took the guy behind th bar 2 months to say hello, dosent happen in good old SHEFFIELD

I lived in Ealing for a while when I was at Uni and working at the film studios. I found London to be the most fantastic cities but the people are so harrassed they dont have time for each other, unlike Sheffielders who are without doubt the most friendly bunch of people I have met.

I'm from down south, pretty close to London. I really enjoy living in Sheffield, it's different. I love being so close to the peaks etc and people here are really much friendlier than what I'm used to. My bloke is from London and he feels that same.

What I don't like is being far away from my friends and family so don't imagine spending too many years up here.
