saxon51
Next time you see it, note the reg letters on the sides if you can. S.Y.'s is G-SYPA. Notts' helicopter overlaps into Derbyshire sometimes I believe.
bigflesh
The Derbyshire Constabulary and the Nottinghamshire Police run the air support section, jointly. Both forces have an equal share. Not sure where it's based, but would hazard a guess at NEMA or Gamston Airport. When additional air support is required, or indeed incidents overlap, police forces are known to share resources, just as - ground based regular traffic based operations sometimes do. Its Reg. is G-NMHS http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=59760 South Yorks reg. is as stated in the previous post by Sax, G-SYPA, callsign Sierra Yankee. http://www.myaviation.net/search/photo_search.php?id=00492442&size=large
