coretext
I bought my HP computer just over a year ago and it has a 120Gb Samsung hard drive. When I switch it on it tells me that it is going to fail and I have to press F2 to continue. XP boots up as normal and I don't get any errors, all programs work fine (other than the message everything is ok). I know I should backup, is it possible to transfer all the data to an external harddrive and the boot from that without having to reinstall anything. Any ideas will help. sallonoroff
Presumably the message is being generated through S.M.A.R.T. (i.e. before Windows loads) so the chance of a virus is quite low. backup any important data asap. +
