*Turbo*
From a complete novice!!! it would seem i am finally moving into the broadband world from dial up. Its a long story why its taken me this long! Anyway, i now anticipate downloading albums on to Ipod instead of bothering with Cd's. So quick question how long would it take to download a typical 60 minute album? Reason i'm asking is to know whether its worth going for 1 meg at £14.99 a month, or 2 meg at £24.99 or 8 meg at £29.99. Any other advice welcome. Cheers:thumbsup:

Twiglet
I have 8MB from BT but our exchange is only capable of just under 6MB. Using the Flashget download manager I can download individual songs (legally ) in around 15 seconds, so an album would take around a minute and a half-2 minutes. Rich
10MB blueyonder and i still want more Some people are just NEVER satisfied I'd be happy with anything above 512k at the moment, applied for 2 Mb Sky Broadband recently, but I know for a fact we won't get anywhere near the full 2 Mb here in Stannington cos of how crap Wadsley Bridge exchange is. If your downloading is going to be heavy then get fastest speed your line will take. Your pricing, are they for AOHELL? Have a look here for lots of information on ADSL suppliers. *Turbo*
Thanks for your answer everyone, much appreciated:thumbsup: I dont anticipate making loads and loads of downloads, just that everything gets copied on to my Ipod so with broadband dont anticipate buying cd's anymore. TBH I think 1 meg will be enough for my needs and yes, the price's are for AOL and yes, i know there are a lot of people who hate them but i've not had any problems on dial up for the last 8 years i've been with them. tobster
I got 4MB but i thinking of going back down to 1MB but saying that I like watching ABC News when i get home from work on Democracy TV (free GPL open source software - as free as the day) ABC New is around 15 - 20 long per day and with 4MB it takes me about 3mins to down load. An IM3 song should take 10 second or so that what NTL say. Thanks Toby
