Good quality A grade Cdr's

The more expensive blank media tends to be better though, I know from experience that cheap blank discs are almost always crap.

Avoid ones bought from Pound shops in particular, 9 times out of 10 they don't work in my experience.

you've got a duff drive then Rich. I have used the poundshop packs (7 for a quid) for quite a while and they are generally as good as the dearer ones bought from specialist stores. Likewise the DVD+R's are pretty decent (upto 8x) and the one on the moor had some DVD+RW's recently. I've used one disk a few times and its fine, no problems.

does anybody know of any A grade cdr's. I have B grade ones and there apparently not good for audio recording

Any of the Taiyo Yuden media on this page would be considered 'A' grade,

the Plextor branded CDs are good value. Archive quality media will always be a little more expensive but worth the money in the long run.
